Partnerships and philanthropy

Proud fundraising group in our greenhouse

Partnerships are the cornerstone of fundraising at Treloar's.  Support from organisations and individuals help us empower students to reach their full potential. Here’s how you can get involved:

Charitable trusts and foundations

We are incredibly grateful for the generous support we receive from charitable trusts and foundations. Your contributions allow us to provide vital services and opportunities for our students, as well as deliver essential one-off projects.

To learn more about the impact of these donations on our students' lives and the areas where we currently need support, please explore the links below.

For further details or to arrange a visit to see our work first-hand, please contact Karen on 01420 547 445 or email karen.dawson@treloar.org.uk.

Business partnerships

Supporting Treloar’s offers numerous benefits for your company while advocating for diversity and inclusivity. As a leading provider for the disabled community, we value our business partners and work together with them to benefit our students and improve the lives of disabled people in the wider world, including the workplace. Our experts assist businesses in enhancing their accessibility, whether through accessibility audits, internships, work experience, or employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Ways to support us include making Treloar’s your Charity of the Year, providing direct funding, sponsoring events, participating in active events, offering work experience placements to students and promoting our activities.

Contact Andy Brown at andrew.brown@treloar.org.uk for more details.

City of London

Treloar's has a special relationship with the Lord Mayor of the City of London and the Livery Companies, thanks to our founder, Lord Mayor Sir William Purdie Treloar. We greatly value the incredible philanthropy we receive from the Livery Movement, which directly supports our vital work in fostering the independence of our young people. We host several annual events, including the Lord Mayor's visit to Treloar's, the Mansion House Gala Dinner, and a new event The Lady Mayoress' Afternoon Tea Party at Mansion House, which are key to continuing Sir William’s legacy.

Livery Companies and their members can make a positive influence to the outcomes for our students by making a donation, hosting or attending our events at Mansion House, making Treloar's the beneficiary at inter-livery events, or offering their expertise or work experience placements to our students.

For more information or to discuss ideas that would link directly to your craft or guild, please contact Nicola Doran, Livery Relationship Manager on 01420 547 443 or liveries@treloar.org.uk

Major gifts

We are immensely grateful to those donors who support us with a major gift, making a positive impact on the lives of our students. You can contribute to our work by making monthly donations; giving unrestricted gifts; funding specific projects or by purchasing vital equipment. We will ensure that your passions and motivations for giving are reflected in how we allocate your gift, maximising its benefit to our students.

To learn more about major gifts at Treloar’s or to arrange a visit, contact Orianne Tyndale at orianne.tyndale@treloar.org.uk or call 01420 547477.

Treloar College student Hannah in the Piazza

Hannah's story

Since arriving at Treloar College, Hannah’s life has turned around.  After attending in a mainstream school which wasn't right for her, Hannah is thriving at Treloar's.  She is currently undertaking a Supported Internship. Two days a week she works in the community supporting Dementia Friendly Alton. In this film we meet Hannah in the Employability and Vocational College classroom and see how an idea in a digital skills class turned into a real-life student-led enterprise.

"If I didn't come to Treloar's. I would not be on this planet. Treloar's saved my life."
