Treloar’s hosts NATSPEC Games 2024

College

“This was a really cool day!” said one student who took part in the NATSPEC Games 2024 at Surrey Sports Park in Guildford on 18 June.

Students from specialist colleges across the South East were invited to take part in inclusive sporting activities and celebrate their skills. Treloar College students were joined by students from St Johns College in Brighton, Orchard Hill, New Maldon and Great Oaks, Hounslow.

During the day, students were encouraged to try out different inclusive sports including boccia, cricket, rowing, and tennis, finishing in a prize giving ceremony at the end of the day.

Assistant Head of College, Hazel Wark said:

“It was an absolutely brilliant day with students having the opportunity to try out many different sports and activities, receiving support from Paralympic coaches and disability sport leads.”

At Treloar’s we know that a good all-round education goes way beyond the classroom. Young people need to have lots of opportunities to pursue other interests, to relax and to socialise with their peers, so we offer regular educational excursions and extra-curricular social and physical activities both on campus and off-site.

Thank you to NATSPEC, supported by AoC Sport and Surrey Sports Park for contributing to a wonderful day out and a great opportunity for our students to share and take part in inclusive sports with their peers.
